People are fascinated with repeating numbers such as 11, 11, 11 as there’s a sense that some added power manifests; they would be right. In numerology, numbers have significance. Lets take a look at the meaning the number eleven has and how this date affects the world, in general, and the people, as a whole.

Stuff about the Number Eleven / 11, 11-11-11, November 11, 2001, and Numerology

As we get closer to the year 2012, the desire of those that follow the Gregorian calendar is that of initiating spiritual enlightenment on this date — either consciously or subconsciously. The people are ready to have a higher mind, to live a higher purpose, to help others even if they don’t get a direct return, to learn of, see, and speak the truth. They want justice and others to act in integrity. In this pursuit, people are willing to sacrifice their stability in a fanatical and overzealous way that could cause the sudden downfall of old foundations.

  • When numbers are experienced as a date, anyone who connects to that calendar’s energy will connect to the vibration it’s giving out. So if a country or culture follows another calendar, with another dating system, they are not likely to experience the vibrations of those numbers though if that country or culture is connected to those that do, they can be affected by that.
  • Some skeptics would say that seeing the number 11:11 on a clock, for example, is just a function of our reticular activator (basically having a higher attention about something you may not have had before — like seeing something you just bought (car, shoes, portable electronic) all over the place when you never saw much of it before) or apophenia (this seems like intuition and I could easily dispute Conrad’s original theory as others have too). Whether you are experiencing higher attention or “specific experience of an abnormal meaningfulness” — it doesn’t matter. Because when it comes to seeing 11:11, your brain has understood this as being a ‘message’ there for you to reveal. So go reveal it…
  • Back to the date of November 11, 2011. The whole date adds up to an EIGHT.
  • Eleven is considered a master number. A master number resonates on a higher spiritual wave.
  • Have you ever suddenly looked at your clock and saw it was exactly 11:11 ? That means that you were connecting to a higher spiritual vibration at that time. A message is being delivered to you through the angelic realm, possibly from your own internal spiritual realm. Stop for a moment, next time that happens. Ask yourself: What message am I to receive? Receive it.
  • Some keywords include: visionary, inspirational, inspiring, spirituality, the higher mind, volunteerism, heavenly messages, optimism, education, insights, motivational, uplifting.
  • In numerology, numbers get reduced; however, master numbers are never reduced in calculations. Calculating 11 + 11 _ 2 + 11, we arrive at the number 35 which adds to an 8. While the numbers are 11, this will be an 8 day with 11 themes and energy. Interestingly, Edgar Cayce’s life path is a 35/8 and embodies the spirit of the number 11.
  • In it’s lower vibration, 2 — some meanings include: co-operation, balance, harmony, negotiation, and fairness.
  • Also, if we add 11 + 11 + 11, we get 33 and that is another master number. I like to call this the Master Healer / Master Teacher Number. It’s kind of martial arts in nature — the subtle and gentle types like Tai Chi. The lower vibration of this number is 6 and that’s about support, groups, tribes, taking responsibility, intense creativity, unusual communication, balance, love, softness, soulful and alternative healing.
  • The actual year 2011 adds up to a 13/4 which stands are planning, stability, structure, family, foundations, organization, design, teaching, compartments, architecture, tradition, etc..
  • As we get closer to the year, 2012, the desire of those that follow the Gregorian calendar is that of spiritual enlightenment. The people are ready to have a higher mind, to live for a higher purpose, to help others even if they don’t get a direct return, to see and speak the truth. They want justice and others to act, in integrity. In this pursuit, people are willing to sacrifice their stability in a fanatical and overzealous way

This is an excerpt from my Life Path Numerology Generator as it relates to the number 8 and one’s path forward:

Life Path :: Business Leader / Physical Distribution (8)

Your core self includes your major challenge or karmic lesson, desire, gift, knowledge, life path, and destiny.Today, the way to your life path, mission, or purpose is shown; however, in a live reading session I analyze and intuit all different aspects of your core self into one complete picture to give you a powerful reading that gives deeper insight into your personality, career interests, relationship opportunities, challenges, and so forth.

A life path, mission, or purpose is something a lot of people try to define for themselves. The funny thing is that it’s right before your eyes, nothing earth shattering and something you are always drawn to do. In fact, you may find yourself having a hard time achieving success working through your path but that’s part of the process of life, death, and being reborn (should you choose to believe in reincarnation).

Also your major challenge or karmic lesson, desire, gift, knowledge, life path, and destiny together makes a difference in where and how you work and live. Therefore, your life path may express itself in a slightly different way than what it says below. In addition, an inability to harmonize strengths and challenges can keep one away from their path. Please keep all these points in mind while reading and question yourself thoroughly.

Your life purpose is power, wealth, and health. You have the ability to manage resources quite well and because of this you are likely to run your own business, be the boss, and make lots of money!! In fact a spa, chiropractic clinic, or a health food business healing the body might really interest you as well but that all depends on the rest of your core personality and if you are still trying to find your way, let me assist you!

Some keywords: money, money, money!, body, health, energy, homeopathy, power, control, dominance, resources, planner, strategist, retail, auctions, budgets, sensuous, shopping, wealth, work, masculine, yang, Andrew Weil, natural foods, workaholic, fine dining, luxuriousness, distribution, owner, challenging, small business, big business, investments, CEO, executive, diet & exercise, Donald Trump, entrepreneur, lawyer, cosmetician, people manager, stockbroker, director, doctor, founder, director, loan shark, physical therapist (massage, physio, etc.), project manager.

Connects with the energy of Sun signs: Capricorn, Taurus, & Leo and the Elements: Earth & Fire

For number 11, it is Your life purpose is vision & enlightenment. As a rare individual you have the ability to see things many others do not and this leads to open many doors to new experiences.

Taken from my Gift Numerology Generator for the number eleven as it relates to a gift or strength that one possesses:

Gift :: Inspirational Visionary (11)

Your core self includes your major challenge or karmic lesson, desire, gift, knowledge, life path, and destiny.Today, the way to your gift is shown; however, in a live reading session I analyze and intuit all different aspects of your core self into one complete picture to give you a powerful reading that gives deeper insight into your personality, career interests, relationship opportunities, challenges, and so forth.

This free on-line reading has a lot of limitations and is not to be considered the whole of your self but rather a part of the whole.Your major gift is easy and comes naturally to you and everyone sees it plain and clear that that is what you are good at even if it isn’t acknowledged.

The following is not your only gift but is the main one which everyone would recognize within you. Also your major challenge or karmic lesson, desire, gift, knowledge, life path, and destiny together makes a difference in where and how you work and live. Therefore, your gift may express itself in a slightly different way than what it says below. In addition, self-esteem and other issues may be a factor as to whether you decide to suppress or use your gift. Please keep all these points in mind while reading and question yourself thoroughly.

When you are at your best you inspire, uplift, educate, and motivate others to move beyond surface reality. Naturally you are gifted at understanding the spiritual energies of people, places, and things. You help individuals all over the world take action and achieve their potential. However, if in the land of the darkness you may find yourself floating and not knowing quite how to use your gift to good ends. You may also use the lower vibrations of your gift by coaching, consulting, and counseling locally. This usually arises out of desire not to assert yourself forward. If this is the case, be cognizant that if you take the first step, you help others place their foot first too.

Some keywords: principal, photographer, teacher, inspiration, educating, volunteering, missionary, graphic designer, advertiser, spiritual guru, brand developer, individuals helping other individuals, Habitat for Humanity, Deepak Chopra, Steven Covey, Naomi Wolf.

Connects with the energy of Sun signs: ALL with brightest being Sagittarius, Gemini, Aquarius, Leo, Pisces, Virgo and Elements: Earth, Fire, Water, & Air

For number 8, it’s When at your best you understand and use mass (body, money, resources, skin, objects, and people) like no one else’s business. In fact, you probably run your own business or at the very least run someone else’s. Your motto is power, wealth, and health and your energy is unstoppable. Naturally you are gifted at anything to do with money, control & distribution, and/or the body. This can manifest in anything to do with business, industry, or physical health and breath. However, if in the land of darkness dominance, deceit, greed, and unethical practices can manifest and these unfriendly decisions can lead to the downfall of yourself and others. In this case, be cognizant that your ability to move mass can backfire if you do not consider the feelings, impressions, and thoughts of other people. (mass is weird)

About Abella Arthur, Numerologist & Numerology

Abella is considered a Numerologist because she studies and practices the art of numbers as related to prediction and how your life is affected by numbers. The way we love, work, and our purpose on this planet (amongst other things) can be found in numbers.

She has a natural affinity for numbers — how they look, the shape, what it’s saying to us esoterically.

Dates. Dates have a prominent importance in our life because they consist of numbers. And numbers, the universe, and everything living (which is essentially everything) has numerical vibrations.

Pythagoras, the Philosopher, Mathematician, Numerologist, Astronomer, Teacher and Musician (inspired by Egyptian God, Thoth — it appears), learned the powers of numbers while traveling to areas such as Egypt and Hindustan. For 22 years he learned from the Rabbis about the secret traditions of Moses as well as the Egyptian priests of Thebes, the Phoenicians, Syrians, and the Greek philosophers. In fact he came up with the term philosophy, Sophia, which means the love of wisdom.

There are many forms of numerology practiced: western, eastern, geomatria, etc. Abella practices an Eastern method shared with her by a friend who received that teaching from a guru.

She can be contacted for interviews about the date of November 11, 2011, 11/11/11, 11-11-11

Paperback, 312 pages

See Recommended Astrology Books below…

As a professional astrologer and tarot reader, I looked forward to getting this book. There’s a sprinkling of titles on how astrology connects to tarot but no one (to my knowledge) has attempted to teach tarot readers how to read their own chart by providing a great overview of astrology terms and concepts. Nor have they suggested that astrologers could learn tarot. In this way, Corrine Kenner is (yet again) ahead of the curve.

Tarot and Astrology: Enhance Your Readings with the Wisdom of the Zodiac

Although I learned the basics of astrology first, I took to tarot reading far faster and better. It wasn’t until Tr. Uranus Opposition Na. Uranus happened, which activated my third and ninth houses, that I learned astrology deeply and became a professional astrologer.

Previous to becoming an astrologer, I used astrology briefly in my work and in connecting meaning to the tarot cards. I had known the signs and planets well enough to do so and I considered myself at the beginner’s level in astrology.

This book will help you arrive at a level between beginner and intermediate astrological understanding. However, it does not teach you how to interpret a chart accurately or deeply. Though it will help you perform deeper tarot readings and give you a head-start in becoming an astrologer, who reads charts, if that’s what you want to accomplish.

If you are new to tarot, remember not to take everything an author says as truth. A lot of what is said can be subjective, and the author’s personal preference that they do not disclose as such. My rule of thumb is to read at least three to five books on a subject (preferably from different time periods) to get a fuller understanding and more accurate connection to a subject.

The book intersperses tarot card meanings and descriptions which include connecting the sign, planet, or combination of sign-planet ruling the card with astrological phenomena (titled Cosmic Connection) such as what eclipses and a void-of-course Moon are, and mostly new-to-me astrologically inspired tarot spreads. Although I have extensive astrological knowledge, I remained interested and enjoyed how succinctly and helpful things were explained that are normally difficult-to-understand for the lay-person.

The astrological nor tarot information are complete. For example, the seventh house is also about ‘negative & positive projections’ (a very important and necessary thing to learn) but it’s not mentioned in the book. The 7th house (Libra as a mirror reflection) is what you see in others and the first is what others see in you, amongst other things. It also doesn’t include asteroids, such as Juno (co-rules Libra alongside Venus). With the tarot, it doesn’t go into the mechanics of tarot reading. This is only a problem if you expect that everything you’ll need to do tarot or astrology readings will be found in this one book.

In Chapter Eleven, A Simplified Guide to Chart Interpretation, I wish Ms. Kenner would have called it A Simplified Guide to Tarot-Astro Chart Interpretation.

The method described is a hybrid of tarot and astrology (as she noted in the introductory chapter). This is not purely astrology or purely tarot so be sure to understand this is a brand new method of working with tarot and astrology.

Most seasoned astrologers would likely not want to work this method as they have enough to work with already to keep them busy and deep into the symbology and language of astrology. And I imagine they would think of this method as an unnecessary diversion and distraction.

What I am interested in knowing is: Where did the author get her information from? While there were a few good books listed in the bibliography, it is lackluster and doesn’t include classics that most astrologers would recommend.

The information in the book is crisp but where did she learn it from? I would have liked to see some shout-out’s to other authors and teachers as this author is now established as an excellent tarot writer. It’s time to share sources. I’ll list, below, some recommended serious yet accessible astrology books for those tarot readers who want to become genuine astrologers.

Overall I was impressed and delighted with this book and Ms. Kenner’s creativity. Thank you!

Connect more deeply to tarot

+This book will give you solid astrological information to help you connect more deeply with your tarot cards and therefore giving richer meaning to your tarot readings.

+ This book is a great overview of astrology and how it works.

+ Qabalistic reflections are offered as a bonus to the topic of mixing astrology with tarot.

+ The book cover is very lovely, the book itself nice to read. I can fold and curl over the pages and it doesn’t harm the spine.

+ Mostly new (to me) and worthy astrological tarot spreads!

It’s unlikely you’ll become a master astrologer through this book alone.

- This book may give the impression that it will give you the tools to “interpret an astrological chart”; however, what it really does is give you knowledge of how astrology works and information on reading charts in a hybrid manner.

- It takes a lot of practice, skill, daily study, and critical thinking to synthesize a chart successfully. There’s nothing in this book that teaches you how to connect all the elements nor does it give a thorough treatment in aspect or chart delineation.

- “…you’ll master the connections between astrology and tarot — not as two separate fields of study, but as a seamless, integrated whole.” Please don’t buy this statement. Astrology is a separate field of study. If you suggest this to Astrologers, they are not likely to take kindly to you thinking this way. I believe I understand what the author wanted to accomplish; however, tarot (visual art) is more Neptunian and Astrology (mental art) — Uranian. And both have a connection to Saturn. These fields overlap, they connect, and you can learn from them and use them in your work BUT they are not the same and therefore can not be a “seamless, integrated whole”. Astrology, the study of stars, also came first.

- The reverse is also true. If you are an astrologer reading this book, you’ll grasp tarot better but you’ll unlikely feel confident to read tarot and it’s unlikely you’ll want or need to “bring your charts to life” with tarot since astrology is already rich and vibrant in its own symbolism. You may, however, use the tarot imagery in your blog posts.

- The Sun & Moon are commonly known as planets but they are actually called luminaries.

- Because the glossary doesn’t start from the beginning, some readers may go ‘huh’ when they read astrological jargon not already explained. In this case, simply turn to that section and read it first.

Recommended Reading and Resources

I recommend purchasing and using this book as a solid reference guide. Not only because it will deepen your tarot readings (if you haven’t already connected the astrological associations) but it will give you a general, behind-the-scenes look at astrology, natal horoscopes, and what it means. Just keep in mind that you’ll likely only gain knowledge of how astrology is used and what the jargon means in a basic way. After-all, it is not an astrology book. As Ms. Kenner states, “Like a travel guide, this book has given you a preview of new worlds that await you” and “Be warned, however, that no guide can help you discover (sp. error) a direct route to the mastery of tarot and astrology”.

Recommended Astrology Books

These books will give you a well-rounded understanding about astrology; however, you’ll want to have read through and practiced with at least 20 astrology books on not only general astrological topics but special interest and specialized ones as well. You’ll also find astrology books can be more expensive and split up into volumes or a series. I feel that’s because astrologers (a traditionally male dominated field) and readers of astrology books value this work and there’s so many new insights to share. Hopefully tarot readers (traditionally female dominated field) take a page from astrologers in valuing their work more.  And with more professional male tarot readers, having a known presence in the field, that’s likely a good outcome.

The Meditation Box; Themes for Total RelaxationThe Meditation Box; Themes for Total Relaxation by Charla Devereux and Fran Stockel

Published October 14th 2006 by Connections Book Publishing Ltd ~ ISBN 1859062121 (ISBN13: 9781859062128)

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love these little kits. For a busy person like myself, I don’t have a lot of time to get involved with something that takes awhile to learn.

With this kit… Open the box, put the CD on, look at the cards, close your eyes, and let the world drift away…

PACKAGING & CONTENTS OF THE MEDITATION BOX
A mini twenty minute meditation CD, four visualization cards, ceramic incense holder, and a guide book.

CD
Track 1 Love (5 minutes)
Track 2 Peace (5 minutes)
Track 3 Balance (5 minutes)
Track 4 Transformation (5 minutes)

The first track hits, vibrates, or activates your heart chakra. For those that inhibit themselves, the track pushes out ‘feeling’ with jutting guttural sounds. Then we move into summer sounds with insects and what sounds to be like a lawnmower. I find this quite relaxing.

Track two repeats / chants the word Shanti, which means ‘peace’ along with with Sanskrit word, Om. Then we hear the summer sounds again.

Track three chants a sound for a long period of time and which gets progressively louder. Sounds like Eeeeeeeeee and is a bit buzzy, like one of the insects. Again, I find these jutting gutturals very helpful when I’m not in a place to be able to sound these healing sounds out myself. It sort of ‘forces’ you to purge negative energy.

With track four a very large sound emerges (the loudest sound yet) and I was forced to stop writing about the CD as my heart rate increased. Once I stopped writing and leaned into the sound, I felt purified. The sound gradually fades out and the Om chat is heard, and finishes with chanting and lightening.

Each track fades in and out. Wow… what an amazing energetic work-out.

The Visualization Cards
There are four square cards and include pictures on one side and a solid color on the other side. Love (dark red/pink/rose), Peace (Forrest green, waterfall), Balance (navy blue, clouds), Transformation (Grape purple, Lightning).

GUIDE BOOK

- I can’t think of anything I don’t like or that you won’t like about this kit other than the sounds ‘may’ be irritating to people who are not yet ready to get out of their comfort zone or having trouble with one of themes. Hubby got irritating with the third track and I was initially agitated with the fourth until I recognized that I was trying to ‘fight’ it.

The Psychic Box: How to Become Clairvoyant by Joules Taylor

My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5 of 5 stars Great Fortune Telling & Crystal Ball Starter Package

I’m impressed.

PACKAGING & CONTENTS OF PSYCHIC BOX
Crystal ball, wooden stand, ESP cards, and two guide books.

Crystal Ball & stand
This kit comes with a tiny crystal ball (about an inch in diameter). I really like the ball as it has a good energy and feeling to it. And I actually prefer it to the larger ball size in Titania’s Crystal Ball. Also, the Psychic Box crystal ball will fit nicely in smaller hands. It also comes with a small wooden stand (in the shape of a ring).

ESP Cards
The cards are square with rounded corners and include standard ESP symbols. They are on thin stock with purple backs.
I have used these types of cards many times with my husband and they do work if you have a psychic connection.
But I have also found that other people’s energies can interfere with correctly guessing the shapes!
At any rate, it makes for some amusing moments and even though I’m a psychic, I still can’t believe they work.

GUIDE BOOKS

You get two guides: 1.A fortune telling guide and 2. A booklet explaining how to use the ESP cards. The bigger book is about 2×3 inches and contains 325 pages (about 50-60 8.5 x 11 pages) and the cute ESP booklet is 6 pages.

The Psychic Book
Table of Contents

Introduction

1 Working with Earth Energies
Body language, Dowsing, Psychometry

2 Working with Water Energies

3 Working with Air Energies

4 Working with Fire Energies
Charms and talismans, The power of being positive, Auras

5 Spirit: The Fifth Element
Ghosts, Healing, Psychokinesis, Astral Travel, The Sacred Landscape, Communication

The booklet will give you useful information about the Zerner cards and how to use them.

PLUS & MINUS

+ Guide books are quick and easy to read.
+ Cover a number of different fortune telling tools.
+ I like how the different tools are groups in elements
+ It’s a beautiful and inexpensive gift box for the metaphysical friend or family member.

- The information in the guide book about various ‘reading techniques are sometimes basic, not complete, unexpected, or too expected (outdated).
- While cute, The Psychic Book is a bit challenging to read. I’ll be getting my reading glasses out as I refer back to it! :P It’s about 8 points if it were in Times New Roman so only so much can fit on one of the pages.
- I would consider tarot a water energy and telepathy air.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

As soon as I saw the box, I felt blessed.
I thought to myself, “Wow, How can I get such a set of tarot cards for so little?” When I opened up the box, I found the tarot cards surprisingly larger than expected.

SIZE, QUALITY, READING, & ARTISTIC MERIT OF THE CRYSTAL TAROT DECK

I was expecting a pocket sized deck but I’m glad for the larger size. These cards are approximately 5.25 x 3.25 inches.
The card stock is very glossy which makes it easy to shuffle but may also slip out of your hands easily too. The card stock is also on the flimsy side but this is not a deterrent for me personally. Card stock and thickness are personal preferences. If I were to read with this deck daily and frequently, I would want a thicker card stock; however, for my interest in this deck: Art and the occasional read, it’s fine.

Allegorical pictures are only on the 22 major cards. The minors contain pips and decorative elements that makes sense for the suit.  The layout of the symbols, in large part, do not give any meaning though the Cups are arranged in a way that can give some clue about the card’s meaning. For this reason I would not recommend this to novice tarot readers unless they intend upon studying the
Tarot de Marseilles (TdM) or just using the major arcana.

The back of the cards are purple with an inner circle, flower design, and 10 crystals around the flower wheel. Reading reversed, by mixing up your cards, will not work easily with this deck since you may know if the card is reversed before picking it. I guess you could always close your eyes before picking, if you like reading reversed with upside down cards. I personally read reversed with upright cards.

The artwork has a child story-book vibe to it and that helps tell a true tarot story if only using the 22 major cards. I personally like the artwork; however, I strongly believe tarot art is subjective. We all have different aesthetic tastes. There is a lot of green, yellow, and healing colors in this deck, bright yet soft at the same time. The people in the major arcana appear youthful with the Hermit being the oldest looking character. Each card contains a crystal. The deck is border-less so there’s a full-bleed. I personally like this as I can sink deeper into the cards.

I did a few reading blind tests (where I knew what the answer to the question was) with my TarotSeek reading method and oddly it worked. However, I got a yes for 5 of Cups because the card is so bright and happy and connected to calcite and yet the traditional Rider-Waite Smith (RWS) version would have been a no. So if you are going with your own, standard interpretations, or methods for the cards, these cards may not be for you. But if you want a happy deck that will help ease your pain, illness, or negativity — this deck may be for you. And frankly, that’s why I bought it — it’s happy and I want more ‘happy’ in my life!!

I can see how the Crystal Tarot can be a great deck for transforming a bad situation into one that is good and for meditation (it also gives a simple crystal meditation exercise that you can do) so if you have the budget to buy and you like what you read in this review, go for it.

THE COMPANION TAROT BOOK

To the right of the deck, in the kit, is a slim full color glossy booklet with 64 pages. Pages 13 to 64 give the Planet/Sign, Crystal, and Chakra associations for the majors while skipping the planet/sign association for the minors.
It then moves into the interpretation of the card. There are no keywords, descriptions, or reversal interpretations; however, crystal
meanings are given for each card.

The booklet is a basic overview of tarot, how to use tarot, and this deck. It seems to indicate that inspiration is drawn from not only the RWS but also the Thoth and TdM decks even though only the RWS is mentioned. For example, the author writes “There are no ‘reversed’ meanings in the Crystal Tarot. The meaning of the card is often dependent on the cards next to or around it, which can shed further light on the reading. As you look at the card spread and notice the relationships of adjacent cards, you will realize the implications of each card.” This seems to draw on the Thoth tradition and can confuse RWS tarot readers who have certain expectations on how that type of deck operates.

After reading through the booklet, I realized that this guide teaches you how to do incredible ‘crystal readings’ without the tarot cards and I had not known how to do that before!

I’m giving this kit a four because it works for me and I think I ‘get’ what the creators are trying to achieve; however, for many it’s probably more of a three because the publishers didn’t get across very well who this deck is for and what it can do and it can do a lot but just not what the typical tarot reader would expect or is seeking!

To also note, Cico Books appear to focus on lighter reading material with superb visuals, gift sets, full color glossy, and coffee table books so that’s probably why this set wouldn’t appeal to most serious tarot readers unless they can see another application for the kit, like myself.

Why I don’t want to be a Therapist or Psychologist…

Tags

I have been told I’m a really good natural psychologist or therapist. And having a Virgo stellium in the 8th with Mercury & Pluto (not conjunct) with harmonious yet powerful aspects flowing through that house, it’s not really a wonder why I’m told that…

I genuinely care about what makes people tick and how to help them move past their blocks and other people’s blocks.

But being there, helping people, means I’m stuck in the past — the other’s past and my past. And my focus the whole time is to take the other to their own positive future. But what about me? Am I achieving my future? I think not.

We are who we spend our time with.

I love helping people but having an early degree Virgo SN Conjunct Mercury in the 8th house is doing psychoanalysis and dealing with people’s deep and dark stuff. And while I can do it well, it’s my past. I’m also not into studying something in a way that doesn’t give me personal freedom of mental expression. In other words, to be a psychologist, I need to do years of formalized education in a restrictive environment and with Jupiter & Uranus Libra in the 9th I don’t think that’s my destiny. My future is Pisces NN 2nd house conjunct (out of sign) an Aquarius Part of Fortune in the 1st and my late degree Virgo in the 8th (close to or cusping on Libra… My Venus Virgo is 28°).

Helping people (in the way I have done) keeps me in my past. It took a TarotSeek session and a conversation my Pisces hubby to hit the final nail on the head. And that’s an incredible revelation because I had trouble with understanding how I could do Pisces NN while having Virgo SN and a packed house of Virgo. And while I love helping people and can do it, it wasn’t serving me and I want to be a servant in another way — a way that serves the goals of other AND myself.

But I asked: How can I do my Pisces NN while moving away from the Virgo SN with so much Virgo?! The answer is plainly in not judging others or their situation and doing Piscean pursuits that are largely insular yet eventually healing and expanding out to others.

Anyway, back to this topic…

Once I make-over someone, they are done — they leave. I don’t get invited to the photo-shoot or the after-party, and rarely do I get a photo of that shoot mailed to me down the road. It’s not fun and I ♡ fun!

Once I help someone shine brightly, they leave and I don’t get to enjoy the fruits of our labour. And the people I help, don’t really come back for me. They are not really thinking of getting me ahead and that’s not their fault or their responsibility.

It’s time that I do my Pisces NN and start working with art and music in a spiritual way — in a way that inspires and teaches others.

Looking back, it’s (art has) always been there.
Abella “Jucy” Arthur ~ Arthor ~ Author ~ ARThur ~ ART-her

I was part of the choir in school and church. I still sing today (in my shower, while washing dishes, etc!) and have dreams of being a one-hit wonder — time limited fame & fortune! I have a ton of musical instruments but I haven’t picked up my guitar in a long while and I actually fancy the harmonica and drums. I was part of a special enrichment class in grade school where we made a commercial about soda-pop and I was the lead actress doing Michael Jackson’s MoonWalk (totally dating myself here!). I always took art class in school and drew everything that would let me. Teachers liked what I did but they never pushed me into a professional pursuit.

In one of my high schools, I was in a special class where most of the students were actors, athletes, or artists. They asked: What do you do? I didn’t. I was just a student who was bright but accelerated so regular school was too boring and didn’t work. I needed independent and flexible study. That’s why I was there. But I did spend some time thinking about going to OCAD and I hung around art students and professional artists.

In my late teens I worked at a local movie theatre and once sang Blue Moon at the front of the stage with an usher who was trying to land an acting gig / career. And there was Ed, the dancer and wow, do I love dance. Which brings me to being a gymnast with a particular interest in the mat and beam. Then as an adult, I took pottery and other hobby art workshops. Color and color psychology are big interests too. I am amazed at how color transforms an environment or person. I like to play with origami, draw, and create to help me relax and be. And my Mom is a Pisces and an artist plus my ancestors were musicians and artistic. To boot, as a 30/3 life path I like to express and I took drama every year too. I can be a bit of an improvisational loon.

There are so many more artistic and dramatic memories but it would probably fill pages and I hope not to bore anyone with details. I also didn’t intend for such a self-exploration but with Mercury Septile Jupiter, I have a habit of writing or talking up a storm! Hope no one thinks it’s self-absorbed and I do hope this helps others take the time out to find or accept their heart’s desire.

But back onto topic again…

I greatly admire/d artists and I was/am surrounded by artists but I never stepped up to be an artist and while some artists helped me take a step, looking back… it looks to me that others almost hid their artistry from me preferring to talk about what I knew and did rather than what they knew and did so I didn’t get to learn a lot.

This is why even though I have connected with tons of people in my lifetime, I’ll never forget those that helped me positively progress because they have been few and far between. Like an ex-boyfriend (also a three life path) who had cut a super CD of his own. He let me stay in his place and sing to my heart’s content on his recording equipment and finally I was able to sing in front of him — first time I did that as an adult. And I even contemplated getting singing lessons back then but I didn’t. In fact, ever so often I reach out to get lessons but something holds me back (now, I’m just studying how to sing through a CD program, as I clean up my place). Anyway, he inspired me to write some songs and paint too. He, a Taurus, went on to get a degree in fine art. He opened me up to express myself and to let go of rigidity without actually telling me what to do. And one Christmas he got me a color wheel. That was one of the best gifts I ever got. He also got me a blue cup with a sunflower on it (I love flowers, especially sunflowers — LEO!!) that I used for my paint brushes and he also gave me a painting he did for me.

Natally, I have a packed Venus (as well as Mercury, Moon, a lot of Septiles, Noviles, and Deciles — but this post is about the right side of my brain as it pertains to art and why I’m turning away from my left, for now, to explore it).

Neptune is a higher vibration of Venus.
I have Neptune Scorpio in the 10th house.
I am a muse but I like having muses too.

(Astrology notes… things I just noticed or thought of after writing this whole she-bang up!)

  • I wrote this on Friday — Venus day! hehe)
  • The world transit for Chiron has retrograded back to 2° 30 Pisces TODAY and that has re-activated my North Node Pisces 2° 49 as a powerful conjunction. This also means that my SN is opposite Tr. Chiron reminding me that the past hurts my future.
  • The last time Chiron came into 2° 30 Pisces was on March 11th, 2011 and the last time it will jump back in a direct motion, in my lifetime, will be on January 18, 2012 at 2° 47; however, the first week of January will probably bring a huge jump in consciousness as to what and how I’m to carry out my life’s mission.
  • My midheaven trines my North Node and Tr. Chiron trines my Na. MC

Art has been at my fingertips this whole time. I have done it, I have hung around people who did it, and yet why was I being so nebulous about the whole thing when it came to me doing it?

With all this art around me, why has it taken me so long to connect the dots? I have my thoughts but it mostly comes from non-support. Insular art is not something that others can enjoy, at least not right away. And I have found that the majority of people are selfish. If it doesn’t serve them at that moment, then why care? If you are reading this and you are not selfish, I wouldn’t be so quick to pat yourself on the back nor would I do so if you consider yourself selfish. Because doing what doesn’t come naturally helps find a balance and that is often something to be more proud (a Leo word) of.

For myself (with my Sun in the 7th house naturally ruled by Venus & Juno), I’m learning to be selfish and to take care of me. I don’t have any more time to lose. It’s time for my Sun Leo to flower…

p.s. I’m not the ‘throw the baby out with the bath water kind of Gal”… My Venus Trine Saturn likes to expand upon, build upon. I’m not giving up on the psychic arts, I’m adding to it. That’s my Jupiter Sextile Ascendant. :D

What Qualities Make a Good Practicing Astrologer Who Reads For / Consults Others?

Tags

, ,

  1. Passionate. Astrology isn’t for the faint of heart. It takes much observation, reading, learning, and doing. If an Astrologer is not passionate and serious about astrology, they won’t be passionate about giving a top quality reading, adding value, providing modern impressions and services either.
  2. Curious. Great Astrologers keep asking WHY. They will ask everyone, including you, WHY? Astrologers are not fortune tellers, they are life helpers. If an Astrologer has stopped asking why, their egos are probably no longer in check.
  3. Ethical. They do this work for the right reasons. They have standards of professional practice in place.
  4. Sensitive. There’s likely to be bits and pieces of your blueprint or DNA that isn’t considered lovely by most, including you. A sensitive astrologer does not judge or criticize; they understand. They don’t blame you and they understand why you see the world in the way you do.
  5. Progressively accurate. While it’s important for an Astrologer to possess common astrological knowledge, an Astrologer who truly “owns” their astrological understanding adds their own flavour of astrology to the mix. So they will be on page with what most astrologers will say BUT they have something new to offer that few to none have said before.
  6. Productive. They will not only tell you what is what, they will help you get where you want to go.
  7. Supportive. They have their heart in the right place. While they are offering a paid service they truly want to assist in helping you lead the life you want. They want you to manifest their dreams.
  8. Approachable. If a service provider is not friendly, warm, human yet professional in context, and most often light-hearted it’s unlikely you will feel a natural sense of rapport and be at-ease. Astrologers who have their ego and humility in-check can truly be there for you.

Question: What do you think?

Day 1 – 120 questions in 30 days, the TarotSeek way (objective self-tarot reading)

Tags

, , , ,

From the blog of TarotSeek
Well it’s my first day of 120 in 30.

Even though in my book, Psychic Jucy’s TarotSeek™ Learn How to Read Tarot Cards for Yourself, Volume 1, I would suggest not to do this, I asked double and triple questions per sheet of paper and it all still worked. But if you have problems with answering just one question, you may want to heed the advice in the book.

I was worried TarotSeek ‘wouldn’t’ work today. I said to myself, “Does TarotSeek really work or is it just a figment of my imagination?  How is it possible? Maybe naysayers and those who are disinterested in it are right — it’s a piece of worthless crap that doesn’t work!” But it did work for me today, as it has worked for me many a-day.

I also decided to dissect my ‘stream of consciousness’ by pulling out sections that complete an idea, even if it were only a few words.  I marked this with ‘/’s. I’m forever learning and TarotSeek feels like a living and breathing book.

Please note that the questions and most certainly the responses, are ‘deeply’ personal so I’m finding a way to share myself and the subjects of my queries without giving it all away. In other words, I won’t be sharing ALL of my session data.  Some of my questions relate to the past, some present, and some future oriented.  Today, I’ll present my whole TarotSeek session; however, I’ll choose one question to present going forward.  I will have done my 4 questions (the minimum is 3 and you can do as many as 6-8 once you get used to the method).

Also, right or wrong, do avoid putting a negative spin or judgment on what I have to say.  It’s one of the negative characteristics that can manifest in tarot readers. Remember to ask questions, it’s the TarotSeek way…

Question format for sharing TarotSeek sessions

[date] – [card name]
Question: [what was your question?]
Response: [what did you say about the card you got?]
Analysis: [what does this mean to you once you saw what you were answering?]
Advice, Action, or Suggestion: [what is the outcome?]

The last two questions are posted in the .pdf which are to be saved along with your session papers. I have wrote far more in answering the Analysis and Advice questions because I’m doing it in a journal rather than on the pieces of paper. I would probably write a lot less on paper. And that’s probably why I like the audio recording sessions best.

Question #1

3 of Swords

Question: Why did X stop talking to me? What’s the truth?
Response: The truth hurts / mental pain / anguish and fear / sensitive to conflict / a third lover / too much bad stuff will happen if lets love loose / the heart aches / moody / mental unhappiness.
Analysis: X stopped talking to me because it was or would cause mental conflict that would lead to emotional distress. There’s a third person involved. Either he has a girlfriend or believes me having a husband calls off any type of friendship we could enjoy. Or maybe he hasn’t got over a bad break-up and is coming out of one (this, I don’t know). I’m also demanding of the truth. I want others to be direct with me and X’s astrological configuration sort of ‘prevents’ that. X is also an ‘air’ type person so getting a ‘mental’ card is apt. So X loves deeply and fears, maybe, falling in love with me? Or getting too personally involved with me? He also might be fickle with his affections and whenever he feels a lack of the Sun, he prances off to the next big ‘high’.
Advice, Action, or Suggestion: I’m a flirty Venusian but I’m fully committed to my husband. Still, I enjoy deep and emotional connections with others (men and women but especially men and for good reason). I crave it. I can be attracted to someone’s personality and how I feel around them. And I introduce my husband to everyone I meet and keep him in the loop so nothing is a secret. That’s the way I like it. I’m open and free. And since my man has it ‘going on’, he doesn’t get jealous and frankly, there’s no reason. I lavish him with love and attention and he knows where he stands. But I have to realize that not everyone is so confident and connected to different kinds of love and how it manifests itself. Next thought… I’m amazed at the fact that I asked: What’s the truth and got the response “The truth hurts”. I’m not sure if the truth hurts for X or it hurts for me. That makes me come up with a new question for my next session. Since I don’t think close ended questions give much depth, I’m going to be careful in crafting an open ended question. How about this: What is the truth? What is the truth as it relates to X and my last question? So I’m going to put that away for my next session. I may also share my findings with X so we can open dialogue but I’ll probably just keep asking questions about the whole matter, especially as it relates to having long-term friendships with people (in general). With an empty 11th house, friendships are an odd one for me anyway.

Question #2

2 of Swords

Question: What are X2′s feelings for me? Why do I suddenly start missing his presence so much? Is he thinking about me when that happens?
Response: Protecting one’s heart / Not wanting to see what is there / Turning one’s back to a sea of emotions / Being pure and good / making a wise decision / Being distant and calm so as not to get hurt.
Analysis: Well, this is a perfect response. I won’t get into too much here as this is a deeply private connection with someone from the past. Bottom line: They can’t handle their emotions as it relates to me. I am not ‘normal’ and how people feel about me usually isn’t very ‘normal’ either. I can elicit strong reactions from others and I let it all out in a deep and raw way. They too are also deeply feelings oriented and tend to get wrapped up in challenging ways that question their values so they are “being pure and good”. So they have also decided to cut themselves off, “making a wise decision”. This response is very ‘on-target’.
Advice, Action, or Suggestion: There’s not much to do here. I really miss this person and I imagine they miss me too but not every connection is right to manifest or continue in a physical way. No matter how much of a good fit there is, there can be an intensely bad fit on the flip-side. Continued friendship wouldn’t likely work, at least not now. (A lot of my clients have a hard time accepting that while they feel so close and attracted to someone, there may be something deeply ‘against’ their union. I can figure this out through astrology, by the way). I have written more privately about this question in my “Challenge Journal”. Bottom line? I will continue to accept the situation, not make waves by reaching out, and hope they will come around one day on their own. And maybe I’ll create some artwork to express my feelings constructively and independently. I am curious to know if he is thinking of me when I get all ‘nostalgic’ so I’ll ask. When I look back, what is X feeling or want as it relates to me?

Question #3

Ace of Wands

Question: What do I need to do to associate myself with stronger, warmer, more confident, non-threatened people who want to support my efforts?
Response: A firm hand grasps the powerful object / They remove fallen leaves, representing falls tears or bad emotions (they are not really as they appear) / Clarity comes from cloudiness / Bust through / A lot of energy is needed / Be supernatural and emanate warmth yet be firm.
Analysis: Wow. Again, TarotSeek amazes me. It’s truly a gift (and also a curse too, as the saying goes). Contact these people. If I see someone who I believe exhibit these qualities, just reach-out. I could read the next bit two ways: 1) People who don’t appear put together may actually be very put together and to consider this or 2) They are the type to see through what many others may overlook (as written in 1). I need to give off an upbeat and passionate vibe to attract the right people in my life. I need to stop playing small (my Virgo nature) and just be wildly off-the-charts egotistical and selfish but with WARMTH. So, bring out the Leo and let my Cap rising be firm if and when I sense people wanting to cross boundaries. What would David Bowie do? While being egotistical and selfish may seem wrong or won’t work, I know (for myself) that the world is backwards. It operates in the exact opposite way that we suppose.
Advice, Action, or Suggestion: David Bowie (one of my favorite musicians) is a Capricorn Sun, Leo Moon, and Aquarius Rising. I am Leo Sun, Virgo Moon, Capricorn/Aquarius rising. Watching him in interviews, I can see how he is quite warm and friendly BUT he is firm when he feels a question crosses the line. He flat out says: No, I won’t be telling you that. End of story. No babble. He doesn’t worry about offending people (I do). He’s also a creative 3 life path, like me. He deeply desires/d being respected and being seen as an authority. I desire freedom and communication (teaching) yet have a past life as a respected (maybe even feared) authority. So I can have an air of demanding or wanting what Bowie desires / desired. Back to my advice to myself: Stop trying to be noticed or paid attention to. Just be. Be the person I want to associate myself with. Be MORE of what I am, not more of what others want me to be.

Our Deepest Fear

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” by Marianne Williamson

Shout out to David

Funny how secrets travel,
I’d start to believe if I were to bleed
Thin skies, the man chains his hands held high
Cruise me blond
Cruise me babe
A blond belief beyond beyond beyond
No return
No return

I’m deranged
Deranged my love
I’m deranged down down down
So cruise me babe
cruise me baby
And the rain sets in
It’s the angel-man
I’m deranged
The clutch of life
and the fist of love
Over your head
Big deal Salaam
Be real deranged Salaam
Before we reel
I’m deranged

Question #4

Knight of Pentacles

Question: What don’t people like about TarotSeek?
Response: A strong body / Strong resources / Looking for what is big and shiny / Powerful, dark, older, and friendly / Been around the block / Wanting and having something to give / Bringing the goods, here – have this / Bold and daring within an upright, old school environment.
Analysis: I knew many tarot readers held on to their traditions and that TarotSeek is radical but I didn’t realize it was that innovative to cause people to run the other way. I do have strong Aquarius in my chart, where it matters most. I’m Uranian in that way. It causes me to beat to my own drum, go my own way, and not want to do the same thing over and over again but that isn’t always well-received. Moving on… I can look at my response in a number of different ways. It can say that many tarot readers feel they know what they are doing and have their own things they want to share and so feel threatened by my own work or I have been around the block, tarot reading and I have something to share and I’m doing it in a bold and forceful way. As in, I’m here. Here it is. Come and get it, at a price. And tarot readers may not like this. Maybe they feel I haven’t paid my dues, not popular enough, not big enough and would rather focus on the “big and shiny” authors and teachers of tarot. It’s more ‘comfortable’ and what they might tell themselves, “a safe bet”. Maybe they feel I haven’t offered enough resources or cited enough sources or that they have enough tarot resources to get the job done.
Advice, Action, or Suggestion: Well, this is a hard one. It’s uncomfortable to answer and it’s sad and deflating, quite frankly. First thing that came to mind is: Ask another question. So the next question will be: How can I make TarotSeek more appealing and get the word out that it exists and works? I also did a TarotSeek session shortly before publishing, on how TarotSeek would be perceived. Reading it now, I think I didn’t put enough effort into my question or follow it up appropriately. And it was a fatalistic question because it started with Will. . . ? And I didn’t follow it enough. It would have been great if I asked: If I add the forum, will it be used if people don’t ‘get it’ or react emotionally ‘bad’ to the guide? I was thinking the ‘no’ result was related to the sessions. But it could be that they had a bad reaction to both the guide and their sessions. Well, that’s all I want to say about this, for now. If you want to offer some advice, I’ll be thankful. Leave a comment or contact me. I’m also thankful for the various positive peer reviews received.

What’s next?

This tarot challenge lasts for 30 days. It ends on September 30, 2011 (during the sign of Libra). Consider doing a blog about your TarotSeek sessions and let me know. Join the forum to get help analyzing your responses or advice on what to do next. Comment here with your results. Do try, my Virgo pleads with you, to use this format for sharing. (Though I wonder: Will anyone else do this other than myself?) It’s nice and neat and makes it easy to connect with what you are doing. And use one of the Challenge Journals to help you explore your responses.

Purchase the guide. If you need a coupon (can’t afford buying this guide at the current price), ask. However, if you get a coupon do appreciate and reciprocate by sharing the joy of TarotSeek and encouraging people who express a desire to self-read to pick up their own copy. Namaste.

I’ll post one of my questions a day. Please follow the TarotSeek blog. Go there, read, comment, share…

Basic Introduction to Astrology For Clients

About Astrology

Astrology (star study) looks at what celestial objects and points (Sun, Moon, Planets, Asteroids, Constellations, Zodiac Signs, etc) are doing and where they are positioned based on the the time of your birth or a specific time of an event (such as a marriage date, question about something, a move, weather conditions), etc.) and how that affects and influences Earth and its inhabitants.

About You

Your complete horoscope / various charts (i.e birth/natal and progressed) contain your personal fingerprints, DNA, blueprint. It is a private and unique documentation of your whole life from beginning to end, before (reincarnation) & beyond!

Often, clients want to know about what’s happening now or in the recent past or future. I do not currently predict death, illnesses, or accidents (I may be able to provide a referral on who can) and do not work with matters of the body such as health. My focus is on psychological / personality understanding about yourself and those you care about, your daily activities that better or worsen your emotional-mental life, and opportunities and challenges you have, are, or might face.

About Me

You may find a more knowledgeable astrologer; however, I feel my strengths are in delivering accurate, helpful interpretations and solutions that are uplifting, meaningful, accessible, and quick. I love what I do. I LOVE helping you.

About Different Astrological Practices

There are many regional kinds of astrology such as Western, Eastern, Chinese, Mayan, Native-American, Arabic, Celtic, etc.. as well as methods such as Traditional, Modern, Hellenistic, Uranian, and areas of practice such as psychological, locational, geological, and types of charts or rather analytical focus to draw up such as Natal, Synastry, Composite, Solar return (what I currently practice), Horary, Health, and Forensic.

I practice western modern astrology focused on your personality, psychology, transits and how that hinders or helps your life with yourself and those around you. To assist with this focus, I draw up natal (birth AND progressed), synastry, composite, and solar return charts.

Types of Chart Consultations I Currently do

  • Natal & Progressed Chart Analysis (Based on your birth & growth): Personality & Psychology
  • Personal Transits: Predictions and insight about what was, is, or will be.
  • Compatibility (Synastry): What attracts and repels you to a person of interest and vice versa.
  • Composite: What is or will be the purpose of your relationship or connection.
  • Solar Return (Birthday Reading): What can you expect to happen this year in your life?

About Consultations

The bulk of an astrological session is interpreting your aspects (how celestial objects and points interact with each other) that provide solutions or answer your questions.

As you receive your consultation I may be heard saying any number of these terms.

Basic Astrology Terms

* Transits: How the luminaries and planets are reacting to your natal or progressed luminaries, planets, and points. There are personal and world transits.
* Planet: A celestial object that orbits around the Sun, is of a large enough size, doesn’t have other objects (other than a Moon/Moons) nearby, and is mostly (if not) round. Though this can be debated. For simplicity, many astrologers and everyday people will refer to the lights (Sun and Moon) as planets. But they are not planets.
* Dwarf Planet: A celestial object that orbits around the Sun, a smaller size, has other objects (other than a Moon/Moons) nearby, and is mostly (if not) round. Though this can be debated.
* Asteroid: A celestial object that orbits around the Sun, is a smaller size, has other objects (other than a Moon/Moons) nearby, and is often not round. Though this can be debated.
* Star: It’s a ball of hydrogen and helium that emanates light and burns energy.
* Zodiac Sign: Any one of the 12 signs of the zodiac (part of the animal belt). See below.
* Sun Sign: This is what many people think is their zodiac sign. And it is one of the zodiac signs but to be accurate, your Sun sign is the sign that that was in at the time of your birth.
* Cusp: Is the point between two signs or houses. A sign or house cusp is generally 5°. So if you were born at 25° Leo, you would be on the cusp of Virgo as well.
* Degrees: There are 30° in each sign. The zodiac wheel contains 360°, a complete circle and almost the same as the number of days in a year. Every ° means something and it could be viewed as similar to the weather, in that each degree gives us something different — a different feel, vibe, and information on how to ‘dress’.
* Aspects: I also like to call these ‘contacts’. It’s when one planet contacts the other within a certain number of degrees or ‘orb’. See below what orb means.
* Chart: Your chart includes the zodiac wheel which is a visual representation of your planets, points, etc. A symbolic chart of your aspects. Includes degrees and other interesting bits.
* Mercury Rx: When communication, thinking, electronics get muddled, confused, in need of repair. Also relates to the past and going over things. Any word that starts with ‘re’ will get you in touch with this transit. Repair, renew, reduce, recycle, etc..

In astrology, planets, luminaries, and asteroids have metaphysical and psychological properties.
